getstream skills

Download and install Stream agent skills for your AI coding tool.

getstream skills [skill...]

With no skill names, installs the default skills: stream, stream-builder, and stream-docs. Name additional skills from the GetStream/agent-skills repository to install them alongside the defaults. In an interactive terminal a picker asks where the skills go, preselected to what the project already uses; in a non-interactive run at least one of --claude and --universal is required.

Skill content lives in ~/.stream/skills/ and is symlinked into the location you chose, so projects share one copy. Every install re-syncs the whole skill repository into that cache: all previously installed skills refresh to the latest published version, and a skill removed upstream disappears from the cache.

Availability

Newly installed skills appear as slash commands only after the agent restarts. Each agent harness scans its skills directory at startup, so a running session does not see them.
