# Reply

`Reply` is a default UI component for rendering preview of parent message for quoted message, within `MessageList`.

You can replace this default UI component using the `Reply` prop on [Channel](https://getstream.io/chat/docs/sdk/react-native/v5/core-components/channel/) component.

## Props

### `editing`

Defined with message type if the user is editing some message within `MessageInput` component else its undefined.

### `MessageAvatar`

Component to render avatar of sender for message, within [`MessageList`](https://getstream.io/chat/docs/sdk/react-native/v5/ui-components/message-list/). This component is only rendered for messages from other users.
